I
have owned this 'cello for over 35 years. I am looking
for a good home for it as I now rarely play it. It
is a fine instrument with a golden brown varnish,
a back of faint medium curl, ribs and grafted neck
of bold narrow curl.As it has signs of restoration,it
is valued at £2,500. It is in good playing order
with a lovely tone. There is a soft case included
but the bow needs replacing.

The Cello is in good conditionas it has been well
looked after. It was bought from Stringers of Edinburgh
(Stock Numbers on Request) in 1995 as a present. Unfortunately
it is no longer played but I would like to find someone
to enjoy it, as I have done. I have been told that
it is a very good example of a Zellar. Please feel

standard, Grade 7 ABRSM. Bought 9 yrs ago for £1750

Very attractive fine antique instrument, both visually
and sonically, in excellent condition, professionally
set-up and maintained by Peter Radcilffe. Owned and
played every day by Guildhall degree cellist for past
seven years. Fitted with premium Larsen strings. May
be seen in either Brighton or London by arrangement.
Email for photos. No hidden vices, good expressive
sound, good action. Very pretty wood with subtle flaming
on back and sides. Lovely mellow colour. Ideal first
serious instrument for undergraduate, grade 8 standard. |

is the , a good quality, Chinese student with good quality
/ improved bow and a padded canvas case with rucksack
straps. Approximately £300 of improvements are
made to set the cello up correctly. This includes: plane
fingerboard to correct curvature, reshape nut, refit
and trim pegs, refit or replace soundpost, fit new bridge,
supply and fit better strings (Dominant / Tonica etc)
replace tailpiece for one with integral adjusters for
fine tuning where necessary, supply superior bow (Korean). |
