Musicians'
Corner.
If
you write riffs or runs that can be placed in a solo or
fills for a chord structure, try experimenting playing standard
scales with different patterns. The effect of adding a pattern
to a scale can make the run sound very different and original.
For example up four notes (of the scale) then back three.
Then start the same pattern on the second note of the scale
and repeat throgh the scale. Try it for some interesting
results.
Unfortunately
scams and cons online seem to be a natural part of the internet
experience. If you are selling for example a musical instrument
online make sure the buyer is transparent and genuine. They
should have nothing to hid and be totally flexible on payment
methods. Respecting the idea that security is paramount
for both parties in the transaction.
If
you are looking for musical ideas or keen to ask a specialise
question then the internet is a fantastic resource to help
you. Typically musician forums are full of knowledgeable
players who are only too pleased to help you. Blogs are
also very helpful.
To
promote a band or group maybe in this day and age is an
easier feat. With the advent of such mediums as Youtube
and Twitter potentially million of previously unreachable
fans may now be accessed in a very short period of time.
If a group is popular the word will spread at lightening
speed. And spread to a far wider audience than ever before
possible.
Have
you considered upgrading your musical instrument. You can
sell your old instrument on this site then potentially look
for another here. If you cannot find what you want exactly
obviously we all have our local music shops. Upgrading would
boast you enthusiasm to play and develop you as player.
Your instrument needs to be something your are really happy
with An item that is easy to play and creates a great sound.
Have
you checked your musician's insurance recently. Might be
well worth the trouble. Insurance has a habit of being suddenly
lacking and unsuitable on a claim of a stolen instrument.
If you were gigging you would need a replacement immediately
of a high similiar standard. Basically it is a work tool
that should be protected.
